Hi 905 Art Chatters! We’re all really excited for Abraham Anghik Ruben: Shaman’s Dreams, opening at the Art Gallery of Mississauga on Thurs, Nov 4, 6 pm, and on until Dec 23rd.

One of the reasons we’re so excited is that this exhibit will be the first time Abraham Anghik Ruben will display his latest sculpture Memories: An Ancient Past. You may have seen our previous blog post on this piece when it was first delivered to the AGM.

Now that Memories has been completely finished, Kipling Gallery has had some professional photos taken of the work. We just love looking at it, so as a treat for you 905 Art Chatters, keep an eye on this blog every day from Saturday, Oct 30th to Wednesday, Nov 3rd. At 10 am on every one of those days, I’ll be posting a new photo from a different angle of Memories. I personally think the close-ups are especially powerful, and I hope you agree.

Each part of the sculpture carries its own special story, and Abraham Anghik Ruben himself will be here at the Opening Reception to tell us all about it.

So stay tuned to this blog and I hope to see you all at the opening reception!
